3 Weeks Post Op!!

Wow, seems like yesterday I was all drugged up and sore. Now I'm about 100% back to regular activity. I am now beginning to cherish my new additions! Especially shopping now (not that I disliked it at all before). I see so many new & sexy things, I can wear due to getting augmentation. Well, I am off to Windy City this weekend to show off the twins to all my friends there. One of my friends is celeb'ing there b-day. So that will be as good as ever a place to showcase them. I got a pretty cute top. But recently saw this dress I wanted and may get it, before I leave tomorrow on NB I-55 towards Chitown. CIAO!

11 Days Post Op (Back to Work)

Well, I just completed my first day back to work. I was a little nervous, but overall went very well. It was really nice to see everyone and show off my new body! Luckily, this should be a light work week, with the Thanksgiving Holiday. We had a nice Thanksgiving Feast for the whole department on my floor, today. Geez I am so stuffed and its not Turkey Day, yet!! I am starting to get, as one of my friends who had Breast Augmentation already called them "Phantom pains". They are like sharp pains in my breasts. Which maybe the nerve ending coming back to life, from the all the swelling or something like that!! Next week, will be a full week. But have something to look forward to, a Chicago Trip for my friend Ms Gor-Jess's Bday festivities!! Well I am out for now!!!!!!!

My Girls: for the Inquiring Minds (40DD)

Here is a pic of me, 9 Days Post Operative (Nov 17th, 2007) . It's official, I got measured today for bra's at Ann's Bras. I'm a 40DD!!!! Yeah!

9 Days Post Op

Wow. I feel so much better now and almost back to normal. I went out and got a bite to eat and got some movies for the weekend, yesterday. I am grateful that I made it through this process, without complications. Especially, this week after coming back from the hospital and watching Entertainment Tonight. They were talking about the death of Kayne West's Mother, due to complications of plastic surgery. Uggh! That was all I needed to hear. They were talking to several other women who had botched procedures from this Doctor who was allegedly responsible. One of the women, had a bad breast job and had to have them removed. Not what I wanted to hear. Well, back to work on Monday and luckily a short work week with Thanksgiving Holiday. I have a lot to be thankful for. Especially all my friends who provided support during this time. I want to extend a happy holiday to all. Now, I have to find something to wear to work. Well, thats a daily ritual before breast augmentation. I do have something to look forward to over the xmas shopping season, to shop for new clothes and bras. I cant wear a bra for 2 more weeks and after that no underwires for a few months. Not that I would need an underwire, currently. There supporting themselves very nicely. Well back to my morning coffee.

6th Day Post Op

Yes, I am still alive! Thanks for all the posts and support. I have been recuperating. I had a close call yesterday. I had a pre scheduled Dr appt to my own internist, yesterday. Shortly after arriving in the exam room, my blood pressure was checked and it was very elevated. Plus, already feeling short of breath. Once my Dr got in there and he didn't want to chance anything and ordered me to get CT Scan of my chest, based on everything I told him. He wanted to make sure there wasn't any blood clots. So I left his office, and went to hospital nearby for CT scan. Which I had to wait for over 2 hrs, but finally got in. It wasn't the most comfy experience, already being in pain. But thankfully, they didnt find any clots and I was able to go. Plus my ride showed up at the same time. I am so grateful.

Today, I felt so much better. I stopped the pain meds and I feel so much better. I rested most of the day. I took a shower and even felt good enough to get ready to go out. I took plenty of time and felt ok to drive to get a refill of one of my scripts and went to the store. I made it back and resumed resting. I wanted to update my blog.

Before going, I want to thank Claire. Who drove me to surgery, took care of me afterwards. I appreciate everything you did for me. You were a godsend!

4th Day Post

Its my 4th day since surgery and still alive. I was so tired yesterday and needed the rest. I was too tired to blog. I'm still reeling the effects of all the drugs. I've been having temperature fluctuation's and have a very sore throat. Its hasn't been the pain, just soreness. I'm also discovering that, I have to alter my human factor engineering. I have been getting a little cabin fever. My friend's Jen and Paul happened to be in town, and stopped by last night. It was good to see them. Well I am getting tired and need more rest! More later.

Last thing I recall was waiting outside operating room Every one was so nice at Atrium Plastic Surgery. It was so excited to finally look in the mirror and see my new twins! I am still pretty sore and gladly I didn't get sick. I am just relaxing in chair, as getting in the bed was too hard. I am very grateful for my friend Claire helping me!!!! I am worn out and feeling like I got in a boxing ring and was pounded. More to come... back to relaxing!!!!!

Night Before Surgery 10:00 pm Nashville, Tenn

We arrived safe and sound in Music City. Had a nice ride down here with my friend Claire. We speed talked the whole way, time flew bye! We stopped in lovely Paducah, KY for dinner for my last meal (Steak N Shake). I'm all settled in the room and trying to get everything ready for the am. When I return from surgery. I am tired and need to wash my face. I want to take some last pre op photogs of my b@@bies. Before they become augmented!!!!!! I will post them, if I get time tonight or just wait and do before and after presentation. Ta Ta for now!!

1 Day Before Surgery (1:30 PM)

Here I am, getting ready to depart. I'm waiting for my friend Claire to come by, and off to Rocky Top Tennessee!! Its coincidential having my surgery there and having lived in the Great State of Tennessee for 5 years in Clarkville back in the late 80s/Early 90s. So a trip there always has special meaning. I usually like to pass through, on US 41A and see how the area has changed. I miss all those great places, like Pal's Shop Ezy (Lotto Tickets, Videos and my favorite LIVE BAIT) and other landmarks. Whats funny, is there was a major powerball winner out of there in the 90s at Pal's.

I spent the morning, getting those last minute things done. Running to the bank downtown (Thanks, Becky!) and Walgreens I am all ready. I received calls from the medical center registar and Anesthesiologist, asking the same 20 questions. Of course the Med Center person called me when I was checking out at Wags. Not a place, I wanted to discuss my lifelong medical history.
Here is my issue. You would think they enter this into a collective database system. Which the Anesthesiologist could access. Hmmm??? I would hope so. Since I working with Health Information and know how vital the sharing of it it! The only frustrating thing, our connection was terrible. I was on land line, wonder if he was on a cell? Oh well, I am going to meet him in the morning. As with my plastic surgeon, Dr. Lois Wagstrom, M.D.

Here is her website: www.loiswagstrom.com

I met Dr. Wagstrom last year, when a friend had several surgeries with her and was very pleased. So that influenced my choice and my personal consult! They have been wonderful and its great in this day and age. If I have a question, I just email the nurse. I want to thank my friend Heather who referred me to Dr Wagstrom

Well, I have to pack up my laptop. I will post more when I get to the room tonight and some in the am before I leave for the med ctr.

I will sign off with one of my favorite quotes!

"Now to the real world, later I'm bolting!" ~Oscar Wilde

1 Day Before Surgery (early am)

Here I am, a little more then 24 hours out of my surgery. Its early, 5:30 am. I had to feed my kitties, Miss Silk and Satin. I can only imagine my thoughts at this time, tomorrow morning. Well back to bed, need my rest.

2 Days Before Surgery

Wow! No more work! Thank God, today went very well. Just in from waxing and it wasn't that bad, right! Now I am just doing a little more Post Op proofing and plus getting my kitties food ready while I am away. Then beginning to packing for my trip. I am full of a lot of emotion. Plus a little tired. I am getting to that point of the journey when things just start moving. It gets like this, whenever I get ready for a trip. It all begins with packing and its like a treadmill. It just keeping going and going, til you get there and slip that hotel key in your room or whatever accommodations and plop on your bed. Be back in a bit and will post after I pack more.

3 Days Before Surgery

Another one down! A day I'd like to forget, due to some events. It started out good, went downhill fast! But, it all recovered before 5 O'Clock. Tomorrow will be another day, and one day closer to Day 0. I have an appointment after work to get waxed, with Nanaz of Nanaz Skin www.nanazskin.com So that should be fun! Plus, the fact I cant take any anti-inflammatory drugs. So I will have take the pain. Tonight after work, I had to get my nails re-done. The polish has to be clear, so they can monitor the anethesia through my fingertips (I guess) and place a monitor on my finger. I just want it to be over, but not wanting the pain that accompanies it. Have to remember, "NO PAIN, NO GAIN". Though as we all know, beauty has its price! Yeah 5K+!! Now I will probably become a plastic surgery junkie. Though I do have a few things I'd love to get done.

Tonight is my last night to relax, so I better do it. As tomorrow night, I have to pack and such. But, luckily were not leaving till Wed afternoon. So I have that morning, to finalize everything.

Buh Bye for now!

4 Days Before Surgery

Its late afternoon on Sunday. I started my Sunday, as always with plenty of java and my Sunday papers. Then, a fun day of household chores, things I wont be able to do! Uggh! Well at least, I wont have to do them. Plus, I am Post Op proofing my house. I found some great resources online for pre op & post op check lists. Here are some of my favorites.

implantinfo.com and
www.breastimplants4you.com

I recommend them, as there is a lot of ancillary information from other women who had BA. While, my Doctor's office provided plenty of pre op instructions. These site's offer helpful tips for when you return or should say things to Post Op proof your place. Well gotta back to more household things!!!

Before I go for now. I want to thank two people. One is my friend Diane from Jefferson City. Who came down to visit me, this past weekend. I'm grateful you were with me on Friday night, after I received my disturbing information. I appreciate your support and thanks for everything. Secondly and not least. Is my friend Silvia from Chicago. I dont think, I would of had the motivation to achieve this, without becoming friends. You helped me, to go after things I want! Love ya, Ms Thing!! Plus, I want to thank all of my other friends who have been there over the last several years.

Out 4 Now!

5 Days Before Surgery

Its late Saturday afternoon. I spent the day with an out of town friend, who wanted to visit before my surgery. We did brunch at Chris's and then off to shopping!! I needed to finalize my list of things for post op recovery. I should say, ensuring that I am going to be VERY COZY when its over!

Well, I had a very emotional event occur last night and not sure how I should react. I had enough emotion already building up and this compounded my anxiety. All I can say its family drama, and I dont have anything good to say. I WAS ROBBED AGAIN, of more emotions. Just when I think things are ok? I am reminded bluntly, of where I sit with my them. Enough said!

Enough for now, maybe more later. Going to watch some Nip/Tuck!!

6 Days Before Surgery

Here I am Six days pre-op for my BOOB JOB!! My last full week at work is over! Whew Wee!! Of course it wasn't an easy one. I leave for my breast job in Nashville aka Music City, USA on Wednesday. My surgery takes place on Thursday, November 8th 7 am. Moment of truth. I debated blogging this experience. But, I felt compelled to release my feelings into cyberspace. As I hope to capture and share my experiences into the world of Nip/Tuck. Plus the fact, I am getting extremely nervous and very excited. I felt this would be a good outlet for this experience.
